An Introduction to hypnotherapy

In this 21st century, lives are led in the fast lane, people are constantly looking for faster and quicker ways of dealing with any situation, and there is no reason why the relief of painful or problematic behaviours should not meet those criteria. After all, which matters most to you, knowing where problematic behaviours stem from... or no longer having the problem at all?

These fast moving times, and the changes in working styles and home life that they induce are the reason why so many people are struggling to cope with anxiety, stress or depression. whilst on the self help front the mass of available literature has woken us all up to the fact that no-one has to live with problematic behaviour, the old age of not being able to teach a an old dog new tricks is seen to be obviously out-dated and we now know we can change if we are willing to re-learn new ways of doing things

Jacqueline Bell DHypPsych(UK) GQHP, trained with Uncommon Knowledge at The University of Brighton in Ericksonian techniques, and is a GHR registered practitioner of brief solution focused hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, and recognised by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

For the uninitiated, the GHSC acts as a link between the hypnotherapy industry and the Department of Health, a body who has actively encouraged the Council to continue its work towards promoting the status of voluntary self-regulation for the hypnotherapy profession, a step she supports wholeheartedly.

serene "I believe that it’s time an industry that can assist in making such profound change to individual lives should shed its shackles of superstition, myth and fable and take its rightful place as one of the most widely recognised and powerful tools of change. Self-regulation is a massive step in that direction allowing the public to feel confident of getting, a professional, competent and individual approach and the fastest possible results. "
